CONSULAR ISSUES

The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg has limited powers and cannot issue visas or passports, nor extend passports. For any question of legalization or issuance of documents, Ukrainian citizens are requested to contact the Embassy of Ukraine for Belgium and Luxembourg in Brussels. There are regular sessions in Luxembourg for Ukrainian citizens to consult by appointment.

Consular services in Luxembourg for Ukrainian citizens residing or temporarily residing or temporarily staying in Luxembourg in 2024:

  • 26 January (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);
  • 22 March (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);
  • 24 May (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);
  • 19 July (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);
  • 27 September (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);
  • 29 November (from 10:30 to 18:00 local time);

Within the framework of the consular services on the spot, citizens of Ukraine will be able to discuss the following issues:

  • extending the validity of a passport;
  • adding information about a child to the parents passports;
  • issuing certificates;
  • notarial acts;
  • registration of acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship by birth;
  • providing advice on consular matters.

Entry regime to Ukraine for EU citizens and foreign citizens

The conditions to enter and stay in Ukraine do not only depend on the length of the planned stay but also on the country of origin of the foreign national who is making the request.

European citizens can enter and transit Ukraine for private or tourist purpose with their valid international passports if their stay does not exceed the duration of 90 days.

To enter Ukraine for reasons of employment, permanent residence, family reunification, study, appointment to diplomatic or consular missions in Ukraine and for other reasons, if the duration of stay in Ukraine exceeds 90 days, an appropriate visa is required.
